Sounds of Resistance Christmas Party

On Saturday 18th December there will be a joint Christmas Party benefit night for Anti-Fascist Action and the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign in Murray's Bar, 33-34 O'Connell Street Upper, featuring The Wakes (Glasgow-Irish Folk 'n' Roll), Lynched (folk-punk) & the Punky Reggae Party DJs.

From 9pm til late. Cost of Entry is only €10 (€7 for members of the St Pauli Dublin Supporters Club)

Dave Hann RIP 

It is with deep regret and sadness that we report the death of an English comrade Dave Hann, co-author of No Retreat. Dave was a veteran of the fight in England against fascism which was carried through in a fashion worthy of the heroics of the International Brigades. Dave was a great friend to AFA Ireland and we had the privelige of having him speak on AFAs behalf in Dublin and Derry and will be greatly missed.

Fascists desecrate Republican graves in Belfast

Following the attacks on the Roma community in The Village area of Belfast and the election of 2 BNP MEPs in England, loyalist fascists desecrated republican graves in Miltown cemetry on 18th June 2009. Full details here

Final Salute Bob Doyle 1916-2009

Celtic Wolves round-up

Over one year since AFA hounded the fascist "Celtic Wolves" from Dublin streets the forces of the state caught up with them. Driven to the wilds by AFA, the masterminds proved unable to organise a piss-up on a mountain without getting arrested.

Unveiling of International Brigades Memorial in Belfast

 The AGM of the International Brigade Memorial Trust is being held in Belfast from 12-14 October 2007. On Saturday October 13th, Bob Doyle, International Brigades veteran will be unveiling a memorial at Writers Square, Belfast city centre. All anti-fascists are invited to attend.

Battle of Cable Street 70th Anniversary Fest

October 4th 2006 marks the 70th anniversary of the peoples uprising against Mosley's British Union of fascists (BUF) and state forces sent to protect them in Cable Street, Londons East End. The fascists and cops were on the receiving end of a severe hiding that effectively ended the BUF as a force on the streets and humiliated the police with trapped units actually surrendering to the victorious anti-fascists.

To commemorate this famous victory an evening of Ska, Skinhead Reggae, Oi and Streetpunk will be held in Voodoo Lounge, Aaron Quay, Dublin on Saturday Sept 30th 2006. Bands billed to appear are Runnin'Riot, The Freebooters and Brigada Flores Magon. Also DJ sets with Roddy Moreno (The Oppressed), Colin (Runnin'Riot), Traycee (Dublin), Anke Buschperle (Mannheim) and Kingston Sounds (Limerick). From 8pm-3am Pasaran- 8 euro

"Celtic Wolves" hunted down in Dublin

Saturday 3rd June saw a failed attempt by the cyber-nazi movement in Ireland, the so-called "Celtic Wolves", to emerge from behind their keyboards into the real world. AFA members rumbled their "national meeting" and the bewildered fash, far from being hostile witnesses, readily divulged their personal details to their interrogators before being chased back to their virtual Valhalla.

AFA Benefit Bohs FC, Dalymount Park 28th January

Big thanks to the Bohs support for organising the benefit with AFA. The night was a massive success with a huge turnout of AFA supporters new and old from all around the country and abroad. Thanks to Colin, Tracey and Roddy for keeping the feet stomping with a classic mix of Trojan, Ska, Oi and Original Reggae as promised. Hope all the hangovers cured by now!
